Planning Commission Meeting

The Planning Commission Hearing was held, but since all of the intended items for discussion were not covered, the Planning Commission Hearing was continued to 9:00 A.M., March 12, 2010.  Additional information and a summary of the Planning Commission Hearing will be included in the March edition of DPLU News.

Summary of the February 19, 2010 Planning Commission Hearing

As directed on December 4, 2009, the General Plan Update staff will continue the hearings for the General Plan Update on February 19, 2010.  The purpose of this hearing is to continue discussions on various specific issues identified during the previous hearings related to the General Plan Update and its various project components. A partial lists of these issues includes: the Conservation Subdivision Program, comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Report, equity mechanisms, economic impacts of the plan, the pipelining policy for development projects, general plan amendments following the General Plan Update, and population forecasts.

The agenda is available on the Department of Planning and Land Use web page.  Additionally the staff report is available below, with a report, and two attachments.  Attachment A is a series of Fact Sheets that are developed to address project specific issues, and Attachment B is a Community Issues / Mapping Report.

Planning Commission Subcommittee Meeting

Planning Commission Tentative Recommended Land Use Maps now available on the Planning Commission Hearing Page

Interactive Mapping Application - General Plan Update Alternatives

The Department of Planning and Land Use has made an interactive Mapping Application available, where users can input a parcel number or address and view each of the General Plan Alternatives for any property in the unincorporated County of San Diego.  Please see Proposed Land Use Maps for more information.
