Facilities where this Service is offered:

Children’s Mental Health Services (CMHS) staff of the County of San Diego is contracted by the school district to provide a mental health assessment pursuant to education regulations and guidelines. The assessment is for those students who appear to have mental health issues which may interfere with their ability to benefit from their special educational program.

Referral to ERMHS for mental health assessment is made directly through the school district. Approximately 1,200 children and youth receive mental health assessments annually. ERMHS children and youth may receive outpatient, day treatment or residential treatment services.
