Directions: From I-5 take Highway 76 east 7.5 miles to Guajome Lake Rd. Turn right on Guajome Lake Rd. and proceed to the park main entrance. From I-15 take Highway 76 west for 10 miles to Guajome Lake Rd. Turn left at Guajome Lake Rd and proceed to the park main entrance.
Guajome Restroom Maintenance Project:
In March and April 2013 the Guajome campground and main day use restrooms will undergo interior improvements. The restrooms will periodically be closed for this work. To ensure customers have access to restroom facilities, the work will be schedule so that one restroom will be available at all times. For convenience portable restrooms and a hand washing station will also be placed in the campground. For up to date information, please call the park office at (760) 724-4489.
Guajome Photovoltaic Project:
The photovoltaic project has provided the park with solar electricity and shade for the existing parking lot. Click here to learn more about how solar is helping reduce the parks carbon footprint.
- New Playgrounds and Basketball Court
Guajome Regional Park is located in the coastal community of Oceanside and has a little bit of everything that San Diego County offers. A developed 33-site campground offers partial hook ups, a caravan pavilion, shade and afternoon ocean breezes. Two day use areas with new playgrounds, a basketball court and lots of green lawn are ideal for picnicking or just relaxing.
Two ponds attract a wide variety of migratory birds and serve as home to a variety of fish that will test the skills of any angler. 4.5 miles of park trails meander through diverse Southern California habitats such as woodlands, chaparral, wetlands, and mixed grasslands.
Wedding ceremonies can also be held in a small gazebo that overlooks the lake. To inquire about wedding services simply call the park at the number listed above.
Just 8 miles from the Pacific Ocean, the park is close to many entertaining and historical points of interest.
