The motto of the Spring Valley Community Center is "Where we create community through people, parks and programs." The center offers a wide variety of leisure services and lifelong learning skills for all ages. It is conveniently located adjacent to the local park that features picnicking, play areas, and basketball.

Youth can participate in a full gymnastic program at the center, and dance classes teach styles from ballet to hip-hop. A preschool enrichment program and day camps for children are also available. Adult classes range from belly dancing to investments, and seniors are well served by a variety of programs and activities, from senior lunches to tea dances.

The center offers a number of special events, including Fourth of July fireworks, Breakfast with Santa, and Spring Egg hunts. Monday Night Bingo is on the social calendars of many Spring Valley residents.
