Housing Authority Earns High Performer Status!
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has designated the County’s Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) as a “High Performer” for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2013. HCD serves as the County’s Housing Authority and was recognized after receiving an overall rating of 100% for the annual Section 8 Management Assessment Program certification (SEMAP). The SEMAP rating is the Housing Authority’s yearly report card. The rating is based on a review of 14 key performance indicators, such as the voucher utilization rate, determination of adjusted income and various other quality control indicators. High Performer is the highest possible designation for a public housing agency. This rating demonstrates that the Housing Authority is administering the Section 8 Rental Assistance program at HUD’s highest level of standards and provides the Department access to additional funding opportunities. Congratulations to all Housing Authority staff and partners that contributed to this achievement.
