In order to identify needs in the unincorporated area of the county and the cities of Coronado, Del Mar, Imperial Beach, Lemon Grove, Poway, and Solana Beach, HCD requests your assistance by completing a Community Needs Survey that provides your observations about these areas. NEW: CAPER and Fiscal Year 2014-15 Annual Funding Plan Substantial Amendment
The Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on September 16, 2014, regarding the Fiscal Year (FY) 2013-14 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER), FY 2014-15 Annual Funding Plan amendment, and the preparation of the FY 2015-19 Consolidated Plan. NEW: The San Diego Regional Alliance for Fair Housing is requesting proposals from qualified consulting firms to prepare an update to the Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice for the San Diego region. NEW: HCD Wins NACo Award!
The National Association of Counties (NACo) granted County HCD a 2014 Achievement Award for its innovative program designed to assist homeless families to break the cycle of homelessness which targets those families with children who graduate from federally-funded transitional housing programs. The program titled "A Plan to Eliminate Homelessness for Families with Children" received the award in the category of Human Services. HCD is proud to be recognized by NACo and will continue to work to build better neighborhoods and serve those most vulnerable within our community.
