In September 2009, HACSD was awarded 105 VASH vouchers. In June 2010, 75 more vouchers were received. The HUD-VASH program combines HUD Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) rental assistance for homeless veterans with case management and clinical services provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) at its medical centers and in the community. Ongoing VA case management, health, and other supportive services will be made available to homeless veterans at Veterans Affairs Medical Center supportive services. The HUD-VASH HCV program will be administered in accordance with the HCV tenant-based rental assistance regulations set forth at 24 CFR part 982.
